Electricity, You're My Best Friend

So this ice storm was actually a lot more dramatic than I anticipated.

We lost electricity last night and at that point I knew we wouldn't have school - which, to clarify, we did not have school as far as I know.

And this morning I spent about an hour complaining and contemplating with my mum about what we were going to do because the electric companies (or whatever controls our electrical community) said that 500,000 people in NH did not have electricity and it might be until Wednesday that we get it back.

After finding out that Ali had electricity and I could have showered there, our electricity came back.

Uhm, I have never been so ecstatic in my entire lifetime. My mum and I yelled and danced and turned on lights, then we turned the christmas tree on and sat down and looked at it for a while.

This is sad. Our generation is the so soft. We should live in the wild for a couple months...no we shouldn't.

My mum just said, "oh I'm so happy I could just kiss the light bulbs!"

I'm going to go take a longggggggggggggggggggggggg hot shower.

Note to self: Purchase a generator.
